Program of the DESIGNS OF COMPUTER EXPERIMENTS DAY, which took place on the 24th March 2005 at the Institut Henri Poincaré

You are interested in numerical calculation, and you face prohibitive calculation times or imprecisions with your models. Minimizing the number of trials and finding immediately the most useful points are your main preoccupations. Computer design of experiments are for you. They are not different from classical designs of experiments since repating points does not add any new information. This difficulty, inherent to numerical calculation, imposes a specific approch of the problem, both in the theory and in the solution of the problem.

Here is the program of the exceptionnal day organized by the French Society of Statistics, that showed in one afternoon the theoretical elements, two industrial applications, and three software among which Neuro Pex developped and sold by Netral since July 2004.
